Sourcing Methodology

Traced from the field, tested before it ships.

We work with farmer collectives, not anonymous traders. That lets us show you exactly where your lot came from and how it was grown.

Process

The four steps

Step 01

Map

Field boundaries recorded and linked to each farmer.

Step 02

Test the soil

Baseline soil tests guide inputs and quality.

Step 03

Monitor

Satellite and field visits through the season, so we see volume and quality before harvest.

Step 04

Test the lot

Residue and quality tests on every batch; each lot is tagged to its fields.

Lot Documentation

What’s in your data pack

Every commercial dispatch ships with a structured dossier for your quality assurance and sustainability teams—combining mapped origin fields, harvest logs, independent lab reports, and cradle-to-farm-gate emissions.

Your data pack

  • Fields of origin
  • Harvest and processing log
  • Lab report
  • Carbon footprint per kg
  • Certificates, where held

Shared with every shipment. Sample available on request.

Traceability for other origins

The same system we use on our own supply can trace yours. Ask us about traceability for your other origins.

Questions & Answers

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers on our sourcing model, lab testing, data packs, and climate accounting.

Where do your ingredients come from?
Every lot traces to mapped fields across our partner farmer collectives in India.
Are lots lab-tested?
Yes. Every dispatch is tested by an independent accredited lab before it ships. The lab report for your lot covers active compounds (e.g. curcumin, citral, piperine), moisture and physical spec, heavy metals (lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury), pesticide residues (multi-residue screen), and microbial load.
Is your produce certified organic?
Organic certification (NPOP, USDA NOP, EU) in progress. Until final certificates are in hand, we sell produce as lab-tested for residues, with full panel reports available per lot.
How do you trace a lot to the field?
We trace through a four-step process: 1. Map GPS boundaries of partner plots, farmer details, and crop history; 2. Test the soil for baseline organic carbon, NPK, and heavy metals; 3. Monitor satellite vegetation index (NDVI) and weather through the season; 4. Test the lot via independent accredited lab panels before dispatch.
What is in the data pack?
Every dispatch includes: Fields of origin (mapped plots and anonymised farmer IDs); Harvest and processing log; Lab report (available on request); Carbon footprint per kg (GHG Protocol Scope 3 Category 1, cradle-to-farm-gate); and Certificates, where held.
Can you grow a crop to order?
Yes. Need a crop, grade or volume we don't carry yet? Partner collectives can plan a season with you to agreed specifications and pricing.
